Symphony Orchestra

Welcome to the website of the MSU Symphony Orchestra! On this page you can find information about rehearsal schedules, our performance calendar, important dates, and information about the orchestra course and the program itself. Please feel free to use our "Contact" section if you need anything!

Note that the Full Calendar is active and is LOADED with rehearsal information for the MSU Symphony Orchestra. All concert dates, rehearsals, dress rehearsals, etc. for the full year are already listed. If you have any conflicts that you have not yet approved with Prof. Noe, you need to have them approved by August 1 at the latest. Please review the calendar, and continue to review it throughout the year. While every effort will be made to stick to the schedule, an orchestra is a flexible creature and rehearsal times cannot always remain as they are. Please check the calendar daily - this is the ONLY official guide to knowing when and where you need to be as a member of the MSU orchestras. We will not change the rehearsal schedule after 10 p.m. for the next day's rehearsal without emailing you in person. However, up until 10 p.m. the night before, we may revise the schedule. It is your responsibility to check the calendar regularly and be at rehearsal on time. Thank you.

New! Musique 21 Info

Musique 21 will be an assigned ensemble beginning Fall 2014. If you make the Symphony Orchestra/Wind Symphony pool, you may be assigned to play Musique 21 for one concert during the semester. This will take the place of the Symphony Orchestra or Wind Symphony rotation for that particular concert cycle.

Musique 21 will meet either during the MWF 3:00-4:50 orchestra time, or during the MWF12:40-2:30 time depending on the cycle.
