Assistant Conductor

Daniel Jaggars

Daniel Jaggars is a graduate student of orchestral conducting at Michigan State University and Assistant Conductor of the MSU Concert Orchestra. A student of Maestro Octavio Más-Arocas and Dr. Katherine Kilburn, Daniel’s training at MSU continues an extensive musical and educational background. Daniel has attended several sessions of The Conducting Institute (Fort Worth, TX) where he studied with Maestro Miguel Harth-Bedoya. Additionally, he has trained in workshop with conductors Gary Lewis (University of Colorado Boulder) and Jefferey Meyer (IU Jacobs School of Music). His studies have already spanned a wide range of symphonic, operatic, and chamber repertoire from both the classic and contemporary canon.

Daniel holds a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Nebraska at Omaha where he studied conducting with Miguel Harth-Bedoya. Prior to transferring to UNO, Daniel studied clarinet performance at Ithaca College in the studio of Dr. Richard Faria. He is immensely grateful to the numerous people who have made his journey in music possible.
