Auditions for the 2026-2027 Concert Orchestra Cycle are Open!

 

Audition Information 2026-2027

  • The Who?, What?, When?, and How?
  • Auditions this year will take place in two ways. Auditions will not be blind.

     

    Read the options below fully to understand deadlines and eleigibility requirements

     

    Option 1, returning members only may submit a video of the required excerpts, due by August 15th, 2025. 

     

    Option 2, returning and new members may audition in person on Sunday, August, 30th in MPB 103 in the Music Practice Building.

    For returners please read carefully. If you are auditioning in person please prepare the appropriate excerpts and audition requirements listed below. Please listen to recordings of the pieces before you submit your recordings. It is important that you try to play the excerpts as close to the correct tempo as possible. Please play with as much expression and musicality as you can and pay attention to rhythm, key signatures, accidentals, and any details within the music.

     

    If you are auditioning with a video please follow the protocol::

     

    1.  Entitle your video with your name and instrument
    2. Introduce yourself: full name, year, and major(s).
    3. Record your audition excerpts and keep any lag time to a minimum.
