Born in Tepic, Mexico, Fátima began playing violin at the age of eight. In 2010 after graduating with honors in violin performance from the Autonomous University of Baja California, Miss Corona became a professor of music at the Autonomous University of Nayarit.

In 2011, she made her debut as conductor of the Esperanza Azteca Nayarit Symphony Orchestra, becoming the first female conductor of the Esperanza Azteca project nationwide; She was also the regional coordinator of the Northwest region.

In 2018 Miss Fatima received a grant to be part of the conducting program at Catholic University of America in Washington DC, where she received her Artistic Diploma in orchestral conducting with professors Simeone Tartaglione and Murry Sidlin. During her time in DC, she was an assistant conductor at DC Concert Orchestra Society, and assistant conductor and violin coach at MCYO (Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras). She has taken masterclasses in choral and orchestral conducting with Linus Lerner, Benjamin Zander, Carlos Spierer, Ángel Luis Pérez Garrido, Alfredo Ibarra, David Harutyunyan, Percival Alvarez, Rodolfo Fisher and Kenneth Kiesler. She has performed in numerous venues across the US, Mexico, Canada, and Ecuador.

Currently Miss Corona is pursuing her Master's Degree at Michigan State University College of Music with professor Octavio Más-Arocas and she has a Teaching Assistant position.
