Matt is excited to be joining the COSA team this year! As social media and graphic design chairs, he will be COSA’s point-person for developing anything PR and working with the entire board to get the word out about Concert Orchestra events, fundraisers, and activities! He is thrilled to be making music with the talented and dedicated musicians of the ensemble throughout the concert season.

Matt’s love of music started when he was 10 when he convinced his mom to let him take piano lessons. From there, it was off the races. He began studying a variety of instruments such as trumpet and baritone, and studied voice in the latter half of high school – despite this, you don’t want to hear him sing. His favorite all time piece is Mahler’s Symphony no. 5, and he is currently working on auditioning into the MSU School of Music as a Music Minor in piano.

He is a member of Lyman Briggs College, pursuing a dual-degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology/Biotechnology and Genetics and Molecular Genomics with a minor in Bioethics. He plans on applying to medical and graduate schools, then becoming a physician-scientist when he graduates (however long that may take).
