James is looking forward to his fourth year in Concert Orchestra and working with the the new COSA team! As the elected President of COSA, James will be continuing his contributions made during the 2021-22 season including this official website, fundraising opportunities, activities, brand image, and more! He cannot wait for you to see what else he has in store for the program.
James began playing the violin at the age of 6 and has been member of an orchestral group since the fifth grade. He has played in numerous ensembles, including musical pit orchestras and an all-state winning chamber orchestra. His favorite orchestral piece is "Adagio for Strings" by Samuel Barber, with his favorite violinist piece being the rhapsodical "Csárdás" by Vittorio Monti. He is currently working on "Concerto in D Major, Op. 35: II. Romance" by Erich Wolfgang Korngold.
As a member of Lyman Briggs College and majoring in Human Biology with a minor in Pharmacology and Toxicology, James is particularly science-oriented and is a firm believer of the neurological benefits playing and listening to music can bring. He plans to apply to medical schools this summer and will without a doubt, be bringing his musical ability along for the ride.
