Lara is a sophomore majoring in Biochemistry on the premed track. She is entering her second
year with Concert Orchestra and serves as the Social Media Chair for COSA. With a passion for creative
media, she is excited to use social platforms to highlight the orchestra’s work and contribute in building a
stronger sense of community. Lara has been playing the violin since sixth grade, participating in both solo
and chamber musical endeavors, and was a member of her high school’s symphony orchestra.
 

Throughout her years of playing, she cultivated an appreciation for music and an affinity for
performing within a collaborative community. Although playing alongside friends deepened her
connections, it also helped her discover her enjoyment for violin. Her passion for music continues to
inspire her both personally and academically, driving her commitment to the orchestra and her excitement
to share its performances with a wider audience.
 

Apart from music, she is a member of the university’s Honors College and aspires to pursue a
career in dermatology in the future, with plans to apply to medical school after completing her
undergraduate studies
