President
The President oversees COSA and orchestra logistics, has the authority to establish and maintain operating procedures, call meetings, and answer for the actions of other officers. The president shall be responsible for speaking to the orchestra ensemble and initiating any announcements as needed.

Vice-President
The Vice President assists the President in all administrative tasks and assumes those duties in their absence.

Treasurer
The Treasurer receives, distributes, and manages funds, oversees the COSA bank account, and creates fundraising and sponsorship opportunities for the program.

Event Coordinator
The Event Coordinator brainstorms, organizes, and schedules events for orchestra members and friends of the orchestra. This can include concerts, trips, volunteering in the local community, and even ensemble outreach and recruitment.

Social Media Chair
The Social Media Chair continuously checks, maintains communication and engagement, posts announcements, and updates all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Lnk.Bio).

Webmaster Chair
The Webmaster Chair updates, maintains, and publishes the official website of the ensemble (orch.music.msu.edu), ensures site content is visually appealing, and that the information presented is consistent when compared to other ensemble platforms. Training will be provided.

Graphic Design Chair
The Graphic Design Chair creates novel designs for use in merchandise, concert posters, logos, social media posts, etc. that pertain to Concert Orchestra, COSA, and music as a whole.

Photography Chair
The Photography Chair is responsible for professionally documenting all ensemble events and performances to provide assets for engagement, promotion, etc.

Livestream Chair
The Livestream Chair operates the live streaming equipment for performances and is responsible for setup, teardown, rental of cameras, and professional presentation of the streams.

 

 

Volunteer Chair
The Volunteer Chair incorporates a group of members whose responsibility is to be available for miscellaneous events such as operating fundraising tables before and after performances, taking donations and payments from customers, and being available to assist at other events where extra help may be required. Board members such as the President or Event Coordinator will reach out to these members to check availability for specific events and are expected to run them autonomously throughout the year.
